The event where families get together and celebrate with eating turkey, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce is the essence of November. It is celebrated by Americans and mostly falls into the last Thursday of November. After thanksgiving, we can reuse and utilize our leftover turkey to create amazing, tasty and easy recipes. These recipes will completely enhance the original flavor of the turkey and will be loved by your whole family!


Turkey Club Sandwich: 

Turkey club sandwich is pure heaven for turkey lovers. It`s aroma will make your mouth water.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mustard sauce 
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 8 slices of brown bread
  • 3 lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 pound thinly sliced cooked turkey
  • 1/4 pound sliced cheese
  • 8 slices of tomato

Method: 

In a bowl blend, mayonnaise, cranberry sauce, mustard sauce, and honey together. Spread this mixture on a slice, layer the bottom with lettuce, turkey, cheese and tomato and place the other bread slice on the top! Delicious club sandwiches are ready to serve!

Turkey and Cheese Pizza:

This simple pizza will be loved by everyone and will be finished within the minutes!

Ingredients:

  • baked pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup readymade pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup diced turkey leftovers
  • 2 sliced tomatoes

Method:

Evenly spread pizza sauce and mayonnaise over the crust. Top it with turkey, tomato and cheese. Bake for 15minutes at 450 degrees. Serve hot!

Crunchy Turkey bites:

This is the quickest and simplest recipe you can prepare with the turkey leftovers!

Ingredients:

  • 1 readymade piecrust
  • 1cup shredded roasted leftover turkey
  • 4 tbsp chutney of your own choice
  • 1 cup leftover mashed potatoes

Method:

Cut pie crust into 8 triangles. Now add chutney in to the shredded turkey and mix well. Put the turkey mixture and leftover mashed potatoes over the triangles. Brush edges with water and seal the corners. Fry until it gets golden brown.

Turkey Hash:

This is an innovative dish which will amaze your taste buds in a beautiful way. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped red bell pepper
  • Salt and black pepper (To taste)
  • 1cup diced roasted turkey 
  • 1/4cup chopped parsley
  • 2 eggs

Method:

In a pan heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the onion, bell pepper, salt and pepper. Cook, until it gets tender. Add turkey and parsley, cook for few minutes. Now fry 2 eggs and serve them with hash.

Turkey Hash

Turkey Bread Pudding:

This bread pudding is very tasty, tempting and easy to make dish from turkey leftovers.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup finely diced onion
  • ½ cup finely diced carrot
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 2 tsp finely chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp mustard
  •  ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 8 cup diced bread
  • 3 cup diced turkey
  • 3 cup grated Swiss cheese

Method:

 In a pan, heat oil and add onion and carrot. Add garlic and herbs, and cook one minute more. Add cranberries and stir well. Remove from heat and leave to cool. Beat eggs in a large bowl, add milk, mustard, salt and pepper and then add bread cubes, toss to coat and let it soak for 10 minutes. Add vegetables and diced turkey into bread mixture, and then add 2 cups of Swiss cheese. Transfer this mixture into the baking try and bake it for 50 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees until it becomes golden brown from the top. 

Bread Pudding

Turkey Salad: 

This turkey salad is a very fresh and healthy dish for all!

Ingredients

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 lemon cut in half
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup diced and cooked turkey
  • ½ cup chopped dried apricots
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • ¼ cup finely diced onion
  • 2 tsp finely grated lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper
  • Large lettuce leaves, for serving

Method:

Boil water in a pan and add onion, lemon and bay leaf. Add turkey and cook for few minutes until it absorbs the flavor. Stir mayonnaise, yogurt, and onion and lemon zest. Add turkey and apricots, also add seasoning.  Refrigerate and serve on lettuce leaves when chilled.
